Best way to Port Unity Windows project to iOS
Hi All,
This is my first post to this forum, I just got a license for unity iOS. I have a very basic question. I have a windows unity project (which works fine on windows and uses sockets to communicate with a external program for its inputs) that I want to run on iPAD. What is the best way to get this done? All the scripts are in C#. Will a direct port (open and build for iOS as the target) work? or any pointers to some documentation to get started?
Thanks
Yes, I have a mac and have unity basic/iOS basic. I tried to build, but I get errors with .Net sockets not supported with basic. Do I need pro? and website says there is 30 day trial for iOS and unity pro, but after download I still get the same error and it is still basic.
Ok, I got the 30 day free trial activated for pro and build still fails with Sockets are supported only on Unity iPhone Advanced :s. I am so lost. Please help
@mangohack, All good now, I re-installed unity and no more errors now. I just need to know how to get xcode and this unity project of $$anonymous$$e to get it working on iPAD. Which is the best place to start for demo projects?
