tutorials for web plugin interactive map
I'm looking for a nice looking delivery method for some 3D interactive maps of farming systems. Preferably browser based but I'll be happy to go with a plug-in implementation if the level of quality is worth the download.
The interactivity is limited to switching on and off various overlays to reveal possible systems that are planned but not yet implemented, as well as some pop open information dialogues to explain such systems.
I'm an experienced 3D animator working in Maya and Softimage Xsi but I haven't done much landscape texture painting. I am impressed by the painterly feel of the game Kartuga and would like some pointers to tutorials on texturing and importing of models.

Any suggestions or links appreciated.
