Unity doesn't import Asset Store packages as well as packages from other sources
Using the latest Unity Version 2018.1 as well as the latest 2017 LTS version on Windows 7. I can't either import packages from the Asset Store as well as packages from other sources like the Mapbox Unity SDK.
It seems that the importer starts to decompress the package and tries to determine the package content but then (it doesn't matter which package it is) the loading bar popup disappears.
It also doesn't matter if I drag and drop it to the Unity Editor or if I use the import menu. I also have enough diskspace and write permissions for the package as well as the project folder.
I'm totally helpless as aroudn January I was able to import Unitypackages. Any hints anyone?
