How to successfully e-mail a standalone file?

I am trying to e-mail my standalone file to a friend. However, my e-mail will not even finish uploading the file. It is only 5,240 KB, I even zipped it thinking that would work. Still no success.

Then I thought, just e-mail the HTML document. She downloaded the Unity player and it said the file was corrupted.

Can anyone help me with this please?
