How to set Master Server for Local Multiplayer
Hi all, Just like the title, basically I am trying to add local multi player feature to my android game. Before, I connect to Unity hosted Master Server and when I request host list, I get the list for hosts on the same LAN network. Right now, I have hosted my own Unity Master Server, everything is ok, I can connect, I can get hosts list too. But I am confused at the moment because, it returns me all hosts connected to that Master Server instead of the same LAN network one. So is there anything I need to change / do to make the Master Server return the same LAN network hosts list? Or any idea how I can get only the same LAN network host list from the client side? Thank you. PS: I only use Unity provided Master Server code found right here http://www.unity3d.com/master-server/
I know what you could do maybe! But you have to code it on your own.
Catch your own IP firstly. Then split your IP by the dots. For expample if this would be your IP(000.000.000.NetworkID:PORT) Your NetworkID is your Computers actual ID in the network. That's not interesting for you atm.
You should check the hosts IP, that means the 000.000.000 with your fist 3 numberblocks!
They have to be the same if they are in your network. If they are, then add the server to your serverlist, else not!
Enjoy, and I hope that I'm right. Guys correct it if I was wrong.
Have a good day ;)
Yeah that is my last choice. If there really is now easy setting from the master server code T-T
