Unity Remote works but APK doesn't.

I built a game with multiple Scenes and I tested it on Unity Remote and everything works perfectly. But when I went to build it and exported the apk to my android device, I'm stuck on the main menu screen. On the remote, if I press the Start button on the menu, the scene switches to the gameplay. However, I try it on the actually exported app and nothing happens... I'm not sure if it's a problem with the touch functionality or a problem with switching from one scene to another. Am I not building it right?
