Lens Flare - No default fade in and out

Hi,

I'm using Unity 5.3.5f1 Personal and trying to get a directional flare to stop default pulsation (fading in out, although there are no colliders between the light direction and camera).

When I enter the scene with the game running, all is good: alt text

After about 2-3 seconds of playing, the flare fades out, although no colliders are in between the flare and the camera: alt text

Checking in scene view, right after that, shows the flare just fine. [no more screenshots, i'm allowed to post only 2 images]

And after about 1 second, it fades in again, and it repeats this cycle.

I tried:

  • setting "Fade" checkbox to unchecked, on all flare elements for the flare asset

  • on the lens flare component from the directional light, I tried setting the fade speed to a really low value and a really high value

None of the above worked. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!
