Do I render everything in unity?
Ok, this is my idea and my question is how do I best execute it?
I want to create an animated 3d music video in Maya. 90% will be plain video and 10% will be interactive content. From start and all the way through just before the end it will be video playing. When the video almost reached the end the idea is the viewer will be able to take control of the main character and walk around with him by using the keys on the keyboard. The music video has two endings, which one is going to be played is decided by the actions from the viewer/player.
it's like this: [ x=video y=interactive content]
start xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyyyyyyy(xxxxxx x2) end
I'm relatively new to many aspects of animation but I will learn what I need along the way.
I guess my main issue now is: how do I best go about and patch togheter the two parts; the video and interactive content? Do I render everything in unity? Or is it possible I can render the video in mental ray and just do interactive part in unity and later patch the parts together somehow?
Appreciate all the help I can get! thanks/ADGA
