Export materials and UV mapping from Maya to Unity
Hello I made a texture and uv mapping in maya but the uv settings never get experted.
I check 'Embed Media' and tried fbx export and obj expert but it doesn't expert uv settings.
The materials are exported, but not the uv settings.
Please help me.
It looks like the geometry itself is getting deformed, not just the UVs. Notice the strange selection outline on the picture frame. Try modifying the import settings - uncheck Weld Vertices, uncheck optimize mesh, and have a play with the normals import settings and see if that helps. If any of that does help, then you might have some extra geometry in the model (which would be understandable given how detailed it is - nice job, btw). You can also try reimporting the mesh back into $$anonymous$$aya and seeing if you get the warning message about a malformed mesh. This will alert you to some odd geometry somewhere in the file.
Thanks for your reply ! But the strange selection outline on the picture frame was already there in $$anonymous$$aya. It's not the distortion happened during the import haha. ok I wil try
