How would I implement this reload system?
I'm making a game where reloading is a core game mechanic. I am nowhere near implementing it yet but I am fairly sure I can get the reload done with a timeline, which I start whenever I want to reload. This specific reload will throw the gun in the air and then catch it. (The game will have loads of different reloads and each one has different effects and drawbacks). However, I want to make a hawk enemy that can swoop in and catch the gun mid-air, and steal it. How would I go about implementing this? Would I be able to start the timeline and then check if there is a hawk near the gun mid-air and then change to a different timeline where the hawk swoops in? If so, how would I do that? I don't need specific code but just a general idea of how it would work.
