Unity Animal following pet system
Hi guys, we are making a game where a animal is following you and helping you with your tasks, Hunting/Fighting/Retrieving items. Anyways I've tried several difference solutions unfortunately non with succes.
I tried to make the animal follow with a NavMesh Agent which worked , but he setted the position each frame which made him never standing still. I'd I also tried to make the animal decide for him self where to walk left or right, i calculated to distance between right and left en made him choice the shortest destination which didn't work and made him constantly switch between left and right (look's weird)
I've not a clue how to create it , any answers are welcome code or just idea's in general how to write it down :)
[Further questions] - The animal animations [walk / Idle] should be set on he's own , but my animal never stand still so he can never come in the idle state :( - Root motion in Navmeshagent ? possible?
