Why saving scene applies to all scenes in a project

Hi, everytime I save a scene in my project the same save will apply to all my other scenes in the project. How can I save just the scene is question? I have three scenes named under my project view but they all have the same content regardless of saving each scene as a normal procedure.

I am a newbie, thank you in advance! :)

I thought all of my Scenes were being Overwritten, but as it turns out (real time) changes to the terrain were being saved into the asset "Terrain" within my assets folder. (To me, it's not obvious it's a prefab).

Terrain isn't a prefab. It's special since it's so big. When you edit a terrain, in any scene, you're changing the master copy. $$anonymous$$aterials are the same way.

Saving a scene only save the current scene. Since you are not working on the other scenes, you should have nothing save, logical.

But if you modify a prefab in your current scene, if that prefab is used in other scenes then since they are all related to that original prefab, you modify them all over the projects.

If you want to have independent prefabs manipulation, you need to duplicate your prefab and start working this one only.

Thank you for the prompt reply! The objects in the hierarchy are not linked (blue coloured). How can I find out if there is any prefab linked to the objects? A friend of $$anonymous$$e imported the package of the objects for the project but unfortunately I don't have the chance to ask from him if he created any prefabs.

Thanx again - almost pro :)

Well, select the object and right click "Select prefab". That will find the prefab it is link to if any

Thanx again! I checked that from every object in the hierarchy but none of them have "select prefab" active in other words I can't click that because that option is inactive in every object.

If there are no prefabs then what could be the answer to/how can I solve my original question "Why saving scene applies to all scenes in a project?"

It seems just a bit weird situation when I can't find any prefabs but at the same time my scenes are copying each other no matter which scene would be in question in my project.

Won't give up!

Have you try with a fresh project?

Yes, I have .. That was the first thing I did but the same continues. Thank you for the support, at least I have now less options to figure out what the problem might be.
