Can I do realtime Pathfinding?
I am working on a game like scorched earth and rather than depend on physics I much rather have missles and such follow a path because I feel it will make the gameplay more predictable. Is there a way to make a real time path that can be manipulated by the player and gravity etc. Here are a few pictures I can think of. I know the scorched earth is just a traced line.
Unless I misunderstand your question, that is not path-finding. You probably mean some sort of missile trajectory, so along the lines of this sort of threads.
Yes this thread talks about the ai$$anonymous$$g component in golf games , that's essentially exactly what I want. I'll dig into this thread, thanks for the link!
