Question by Drenghel · Jan 26, 2016 at 06:45 PM · oculusoculusriftnvidialaptop

Laptop 970M (W10) - Demo works with 0.5 but I cant use it with Unity5

  • First things first, I'm fully aware that laptops are not supported by Oculus ( I read that so many times )

  • And that my Laptop comes with Optimus and that messes things up.

The thing is that I really need to test our school group unity app with my laptop so I won't quit easily !

The fact that keeps me going ( I've been trying for 2 work days ) is that when I'm using the OculusSwitchV3 to run the 0.5 SDK/Runtime and the oculus demo works great ! ( A part from a error message saying the driver is missing but I ignored that because switcher/fact it's working )

The thing I'm not able to to is to use my DK2 to run an Unity5 app, I just get a non stereoscopic view of my game whenever I try to launch the app.

How I created the app ( Added the Utilities, imported the oculus camera, deleted others cameras, checked the virtual reality thing in player settings )

So in the end Unity side it looks like we're doing the stuff right, I have a Dk2 acting like a monitor that's able to run the demo like a charm but I really can't get to a working unity app.

Is there a hero here who will help me ? It's feels so close, yet so far

PS: And is there anyway to use it with direct mode ( I guess I'd need to bypass my intel GC) please tell me
