Asset Bundle Distribution for iOS. How to include scripts?
Hi! I'm building out an iOS app right now with Unity. I was planning on really only including a scene launcher in the initial download with everything being downloaded later through asset bundle scenes hosted on a backend server. Please correct me if I am wrong, but through my research I've learned that it is impossible to include scripts in your asset bundles for iOS even as assemblies because iOS runs AOT. So all of the scenes I'm creating will have no functionality as a result.
I am wondering if it is a) possible to give functionality to the downloaded scenes by including all the necessary scripts in the initial download scene manager build? b) Would I have to somehow link the downloaded scenes' game objects to those scripts or would that happen automatically when they are launched. and c) how do I actually do that? Is it enough to just have the scripts in the assets folder when I create that build? or is there any steps I need to take to include them in the build if they are not being used until the asset bundle is downloaded.
Thank You for any help! I imagine this question may help others as well.
Just wanted to bump this and say even if you have only part of the answer, i'd greatly appreciate it!
