The Unity 5.x Networking Subsystem: Any good tutorials?
I come from a TNet Networking Framework background and I've been wanting to do a little network test using the Unity 5 network system to learn how to do things (and not have to rely on third-party libraries all the time).
I've used TNet as a replacement for the Unity 4.x networking (which was RakNet powered?) and I believe when 5.1 or 5.2 was released, the Unity networking system got a big overhaul to improve the engines networking capabilities. The last time I touched the built-in networking was when Unity was in 3.x branch (yes, a really long time ago!). From there I switched to TNet because I was having issues with RPCs not being called correctly and other annoying things like lack of Unity Network subsystem documentation.
So, what I'm wanting to know is if you could recommend any decent tutorials to me that are revelant to the new networking subsystem to hit the ground running. Be it written or visual (ie. YouTube video), I'll take a look to see how it is done. I realize networking can be done in a million ways, from sockets to built-in/third-party solutions, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?
Cheers.
