How do I get movie textures to play?
I still cant get this to work. Its a .mp4 file and im using unity 5 free edition. Does anybody know how to get this working my movie texture just shows up black and does not play in the preview windows (it plays fine in quicktime).
when i try this method, it wont even let me import the movie. it just says Quicktime Tools have stopped working and i cant use it at all. Before i tried using Easybreak, it was importing fine, just unplayable.
also, i have tried this with multiple movie files and multiple file types, none of them seem to be working..
the platform is just windows. windows 10 to be specific.
did you try changing the encoding? maybe it has a wierd encoding. worth a try.
i figured this out, for some reason you have to run unity as administrator, thats all
