UI TextMesh Pro disappears when rotated to exactly face the camera.
So, I have a scene in which part of my UI is built with a Screen Space - Camera canvas (I have to use a Camera canvas and cannot use an Overlay canvas). I have recently been updating my UI to use TextMesh Pro, and have discovered something somewhat strange.
Any of my text that exists in this Screen Space - Camera canvas disappears if and only if it is rotated to exactly face the camera. Obviously, this is undesirable, but I can't seem to work out exactly why this is the case.
Could someone with better knowledge of TextMesh Pro help explain why this is occurring? Perhaps a sorting issue that I don't know how to account for?
Have you solved this? I am also experiencing this. Rotating my tmp object(or its parent) past a certain degree will cause the text to instantly vanish, regardless of where my camera is. Im also using cinemachine, but I dont think this should affect it, considering my scene view also experiences it. Your fix might be my fix too. :)
