Download using Download Assistant without installing?

Hi,

Is it possible to download components (e.g., Standard Assets) without actually installing (there's a "Unity install folder")?

Thanks!

Also looking for a good answer on this. You cannot download publishing modules or documentation for example without downloading the download assistant. Furthermore, the Unity installer downloads, then installs that corresponding module, then proceeds on to the next module to download before installing.

So you can't start the download assistant, have it download and save all modules that you request, and skip installation at that time. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Yes.

Head over to the Unity Download Archive and click the drop-down menu. From there, you'll be able to select individual components to install without bothering with the installer.

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick answer! It would be great if this function is implemented in Download Assistant, I tried to empty "Unity install folder" but it still indicates me installation : )

You're welcome!

Agreed, this would be a great addition to the Unity Installer - as it's a little hard to find.

If my answer was correct, please indicate that by selecting the check mark near my avatar icon.

Glad this worked for you! Hope you have a great time developing with those new assets :P

In the component list you mention (Download Archive), one can not find extra components like the build packages for Android, other OS, Vuforia...

Yeah, so this answer is not what I'm after.

As @Addyarb said, you should go to the Unity Download Archive, find required version of Unity and then click on "Release notes" button, it will redirect you to "Additional downloads" page, where you can download separately all components you need.

E.g. here you may find all available components for unity 2018.3.7 version

Hope it will help you
