Maya export to unity
Hi
I have problems when I export my animations to unity from maya. The arm is twisting madly and it doesn't play the whole animation. I think the problem is related to oriantation with the controllers and the fb/ik switch. I fixed it and it worked for a while but later on the problem came back. I've tried to bake all the animations and delete the controllers and the extra IK and FK joints. I've also cleared the history.
I've noticed that it workes in unity 3.3 but the problem is that our programmers is worried to uppgrade to since it might change their codes funktions. We have 3.1 at the moment. Is there any risk that an upgrade can infuence the current code or can we upgrade without being worried?
Thank you // Mikael

No risk in upgrading other than resetting some of your network view components. No big deal though, they are all still there they just default to orginial settings.
What ^^ said... However, some things to look out for. Some functions Unity drops for whatever reason, but they all have replacers, so it might take a good 10 $$anonymous$$. to fix it all up to par with the new versions, but all in all, it'll be fine =).
