How to get Unity Analytics funnels to work correctly? (they've been 'processing' for weeks)
Hello,
I’m trying to set up analytics for a game I’m working on, but I’m having trouble with funnels.
I want to be able to track how many players have started a level and how many have finished certain tasks in the levels. At the moment I have a funnel for each task because I couldn’t find a better way to do it, so for instance I might have a funnel with two steps: step 1 “startedLevel” with the integer “levelNumber” as the parameter, step 2 “foundAllCoins” with the integer “levelNumber” as the parameter. I might then have a nearly identical funnel with “foundAllStars” for step 2 instead. The idea being I want to track if certain tasks are too difficult in certain levels. The player can choose which levels they want to play and don’t have to finish all of these tasks.
I’m calling the custom events like this…
UnityAnalytics.CustomEvent(“startedLevel”, new Dictionary{{“levelNumber”, levelNumber}});
The event is appearing in the event manager tab of the Unity Analytics page (and the values are correct), but the funnel itself says “processing” and has for several weeks now. Am I doing something wrong? Do the funnels need a certain amount of data before they can be processed? I’m targeting iOS and I’m using Unity 4.7.2f1 (I can’t really upgrade to Unity 5.2+ for this project).
I’m also open to any suggestions on how to better organise these events, since having several funnels per level seems a bit clunky.
Cheers for any help.
