Using global illumination with surface shader
Is it possible to have global illumination in surface shaders? Right now it only seems to be possible with the standard shader, or by implementing the Meta-Pass by hand, which would be completely overkill for the simple vertex color shader I'm trying to implement.
As a clarification: Receiving global illumination light is possible for surface shaders, but they don't emit light themselves. The surface shader should be able to bleed color on the objects near it, like the standard shader does.
