Unity Editor Crashing During Build Process
In the past couple of days we started seeing the Unity Editor crash about 70% of the time when we run our build process. In the Editor.log this is at the end:
Receiving unhandled NULL exception
Launching bug reporter
Launching bug reporter due to crashbug.
Obtained 0 stack frames.
Unfortunately, that doesn't really give any info. I also made sure that Unity was in my list of Privacy contacts in OSX, but no more stack info given.
I should note that this is on Unity 3.5.7 (since we still need to support Arm6 devices).
That sounds rough.
If you've updated other programs recently, you might check if those updates are a problem (wasn't there some big problem with older versions of Unity and newer versions of Xcode, at one point around 3.5?).
Past that, you might see if you can duplicate the problem with a fresh, empty project. If not, add bits and pieces of your current project back in until you get the crash again. Anything you can do to narrow down your troubleshooting search space is good.
We have already tried fresh projects, and that didn't help.
The issue happens for Android and iOS, so I doubt its anything with Xcode.
$$anonymous$$y $$anonymous$$m member is "going back in time" and slowing incrementing till it starts exploding again.
The only 'plugin' we've updated recently has been NGUI, so I'm going to post over there and see if anyone else has seen this.
After Unity has crashed, and it is re-opened, the first build attempt will most likely succeed. Any subsequent ones will most certainly cause a crash.
This happened to me. The only thing you need to do, is report the bug crach Unity.
