Reset Scene Camera
Occasionally I lose sight of my project when moving the scene camera around. Is there an easy way to set the position and orieantation of the scene camrea?

Yes it helped. Then I found you can just double-click on any object in hierarchy also - but that may just be a new feature in 4.0
You should reply this stuff as a comment under my answer and also marking the right answer as correct.
Wasn't aware of that double-click, but indeed it also works, thx

What I usually do when I lose track of my scene view, is to select a certain object of my scene (in the Scene Hierarchy window) and then press 'f', which focusses on that object. Make sure that after you select an object in the hierarchy list, your scene view has focus when you press 'f'.
I use the 'focus' function a lot, and it also resets your zoom-factor, so it's pretty handy.
Please mark as answered if this helped you.
Cheers ;)

Better yet, I had the problem and the view was clipping into objects etc. Rotation was terrible, and 'f' or double click didn't do anything usefull.
But closing the window, then re open it in Window > Scene everything was normal again.
I tryed doing that and it didnt work. I am all stuck in the ground and cant find anything
