Hiccup in webgl when large texture is in view
We have a fairly big painting on a wall in our game. The painting is a like a very thin box which has two materials, one for the side (grey color) and one for the front of the painting (texture 1024x512). Not a performance killer I would say. When showing the painting in WebGL and the player starts spinning around there is no hiccup at almost 60 fps. When we go to full screen (1920x1080) we see a understandable fps drop to 30 fps. But when spinning around and the painting comes into view we see hiccups although our fps counter stays between 25 and 30 fps. We have not been able to catch the hiccup with the inspector (how to do that with WebGL?). Any thoughts what might be the issue?
