animations work but the object keeps going to the centre of the map
i just started to learn animations in blender and i got a bouncing monster i imported the animation and made an animation controller and the animation works but the object moves from its location and goes to the centre of the map and plays the animation and its really annoying so i would be grateful for some help
have you checked if you have saved some translations on your character's animation?
the only translation is up and down which it does perfectly but it goes to 0,0,0
Ok, the only translation is up and down BUT are there any keys saved on the other positions? even If it's a 0. I say that because I once had the same problem.

Read my answer about how Unity imports root object: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/69639-Import-Skeleton-Hierarchy-Naming-Issue
Your problem is that your root object is animated an applies position on the transform. Add extra root to your object and then move the parent and it will work fine.
