Prefabs Making Unity Slow?
I just recently installed to Unity 2018.3.7 and I am having trouble with creating prefabs. Please bear with me as I am still a rookie when it comes to Unity. In previous versions of Unity, I would turn a GO into a prefab by right clicking and selecting "Convert to Linked Prefab Instance." In my current project, such a selection was not available which is my first question. Why is that not a right-click option? What did I miss there.
The way that I made a prefab instead of the right-click then was by dragging the GO directly into my assets folder at the bottom. This appeared to make my prefab, but Unity then started slowing way way way down. Moving any object was laggy and duplicating any object was impossible it simply took too long (I left it for an hour). What am I missing here? Why are my prefabs making Unity so slow?
