Is it possible in mechanim to have a state be clamped?

Here's what I want to do.

When the state machine lands on a certain state in which it is waiting for trigger before it can continue, I'd like the animation to clamp at the animation's last values instead of repeating like it currently does.

Is this possible with the current mechanim system? If not could it hopefully be added in a future update?
