First person pick up object and store into inventory?

Hi guys,

I'm a noobie here, so I would appreciate if you could explain me how to do this. I want the player to be able to pick objects, say a flashlight or a gun. How can I make him pick it with the click of a mouse, and be able to take out that object to use with the command of any key. Example: the player picks up a flashlight with the mouse click. Then he can take it out by pressing the letter F.

Is there any way to do this? I'd really appreciate help!

If you Google "unity3d pick up objects items" you will find dozens of hits, many with source, and a list of video tutorials besides. Unity Answers is for asking specific technical questions, not general design questions. $$anonymous$$ake a try with some the scripts/tutorials. If you get stuck open a new question including any source code.

Hey, i can't figure out, what my problem is. I want to Add something into the player's Inventory, but before that it should check, whether there is an Item with the same name in it, or not and if yes, if the maxAmount for that slot is reached. 0 Answers
