Unity 5 invisible shadow caster shader for orthographic camera
I am currently trying to get shadows for walls that need to be invisible. currently using the shader posted to http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/transparent-cutout-shader-just-render-shadow.180316/ however I cannot see the shadows behind the invisible walls using an orthographic camera any ideas how I could change this shader to work so that I could see the shadows behind the invisible walls?

Did you disable the mesh renderer component? The mesh renderer jas to be enable in order to cast shadows then your issue is you dont want a camera To see it so I suggest you to use a layer in the culling mask property of your camera only not a shader for that simple case
The mesh renderer was kept enabled. I initially tried it with layers but shadows were not cast on the objects the camera could see from the objects that it could not
