Garbled mesh in edit mode in Unity 5
I've written myself a script to allow me to resize objects for level building in my current project. Mostly it allows me to resize the blocks I use to make up the level while maintaining their nice beveled corners/ Well, since upgrading to Unity 5 I'm getting garbage meshes in edit mode. Weird thing is, they look fine on iOS and they even look fine in the editor while playing the game. They even seem to get proper lightmaps applied! I've attached a couple of screenshots of a tree which uses this script. The first screen is what it looks like when not playing and the second screen, also taken in the editor is what it looks like while the game is running.
Did you optimise your mesh or have any sort of compression switched on?
Huh? I do use
the$$anonymous$$esh.Optimize();
return the$$anonymous$$esh;
At the end of my resize function...
Actually... I just tried commenting out that .Optimize() line... Still garbled.
I just tried it out. I turned off mesh optimization for all of my resizeable objects. Didn't fix the issue. Thanks, though. [Actually, I just notices that I tried it with mesh compression off, not optimize off. Let me try that now.]
