Question by zardini123 · Aug 08, 2016 at 09:27 PM · bugissuekeyboard input

Keyboard inputs randomly drop in Unity 5.4

I just updated to Unity 5.4, and now when I use the Horizontal and Vertical input axis ("wasd"), sometimes the value will drop to 0 randomly, even though I don't let go from any of the key.

Any way I can fix this?

@GameDude Same problem here. We had the same problem before 5.4 update. Did you find any solution?

No I have not found any solution. I believe the folks at Unity are working on a revamped Input engine for Unity 5.5. Try looking it up and see if they are.

We solved our problem by unplugging the Android device connected to our $$anonymous$$ac. Somehow the device causes axis to stop working.

check the input manager and see if there's anything wonky in there, if you need it, look up online how it should look

When i was using Unity 5.3, the input dropping wasn't happening. As soon as i updated to Unity 5.4, the dropping started. No values were changed that I can tell.
