Some help/suggestions for building an earthquake simulation?
So I'm not asking anyone to build this for me, but I'm not very familiar with Unity and have only started learning a few weeks ago. I'm trying to create an earthquake simulation where a few buildings on a plane will shake based on a "magnitude" input to the plane. Based on the magnitude, the buildings should shake on the ground (not like a real building, more like blocks but sturdier and not shaking off the ground) and using a health counter the buildings will collapse. What I'm trying to figure out is how I should go about placing the buildings to give it those properties? So far, I just have a simple place with a bunch of blocks on it, but its not very stable and the buildings just fall over instantly even with a small input. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? One of my coworkers suggested I use a large ground-like block underneath the plane that acts as an anchor, but I'm not sure if that's what the solution I'm looking for.
tl;dr Any suggestions on making buildings in uni that can shake on the ground but not fall over instantly like toy blocks.
Thanks in advance! (Please no responses like "I'm not gonna build it for you..." or "just google one and download it". I want to build it myself, just need a little direction!)
