Free Dynamic shadows - is it possible.
Hello guys and gurls,
Is it possible to actually get Dynamic shadows free? So I do not have to do any silly lightmapping, is it possible to actually script dynamic shadows; Maybe using raycast?
I am a java script guy, so if any pointer were to be given in c sharp or boo, I would be so confused haha.

Wait for Unity 4.2 a little. There will be dynamic hard shadows available for everyone. They promised that at Unity Nordic 2013.
Oh good, can you tell me the difference to soft and hard shadows please, whilst you are here?
There are four images in this topic. The first two are hard shadows, and the last two are soft shadows.
I forgot to mention that there will be only free hard dynamic shadows from directional lights only, and still no shadows from point- and spot-lights.
Ah, so really soft shadows gives a less blacker shadow and makes it less pixelated with some anti-aliasing.

Thank you, Google! It's nothing fancy, but it should do the job.
I don't think so... The page has a download link available. "note: as of Unity 4.0, it works with Unity Basic as well"
This one? http://wiki.unity3d.com/images/8/80/ShadowVolumeAlpha.zip It's a direct link...
