How can i easily connect 2 terrain-tiles in unity 5 editor?
I just have created a few single pieces of terrain, with different features like lakes, rivers, mountains etc. Is there a way to "real" connect these terrains, or do i simply have to overlay one piece of terrain with the other one? The second one comes to my mind as a really bad solution for the problem.

There's really only one solution here to make it how you describe as far as I know. You must export the RAW file (heightmap) by going to the gear/cog symbol on the terrain object, and clicking the "Export Raw" button. Do that for all of the terrain objects you have in the scene. Then - in Photoshop - place them together in the arrangement you would like and export (as RAW). Be sure to untick the Linear Interpolation (not sure if that's the correct term, has been a while) as you export. Then you can just reimport your RAW file to a new terrain object and you'll have all of your terrain heightmaps on one terrain object. You can also import/export splatmaps similarly this way. Just keep in mind you may have to repaint your textures on your terrain.
Good luck!

Purchase Stitchscape from the Asset Store to bring the terrain edges together. If that's not what you were asking, better define "real" connect / overlay atop
Stitchscape says that terrain tiles are still handled as single ones after stitching them together. This is something i want to prevent :) Is there a way to put it together like stitchscape does, but handling it then as one single piece of terrain?
Oh sorry, didn't understand that and yes, stitchscape just removes the seam it does not make two terrains into one.

Multiple Terrain Brush < That's what you need! It's a paid asset.
PS.: I know has been a while, but hey!
