Does Terrain.SampleHeight take into account a terrain's heightmap?
It doesn't seem to include variations in the height caused by a heightmap, but I could have it set up wrong.

Terrain.SampleHeight only takes into account a terrain's heightmap. That's what it's sampling the height from; it can't use the generated meshes since LOD means they vary.
Thanks for the confirmation. I was trying to get the value from the wrong terrain tile.
