How to make a Sun
I want to make a Game where the Player must escape from a starship wich flys into a sun. Any Ideas?
I have the idea you want / expect someone here to do a lot of creative work for you without pay.
First all Questions do that and second everyone can find the answer of all her question just by simple searching. So I found the answer on my own in another question which dont pay for the right anwser. Paradox isnt it??

What I would do, is create a sphere, with a Diffusion, Alpha, and Bump-map texture field. Create your sun texture, and apply it.
Diffusion: Main texture;
Alpha: What does(nt) appear;
Bump-map: Displacement;
Create a light source inside of the sun, with a gradient color field, and pick a proper color for illumination.
You could create an animation of the sun with frequency, and then subsequently add in a light source to match it.

If it's only the sun you need help with, you can simply create a new Sphere and make it yellow.. :-)
Thanks, Andreas.
You mean you want the sun to be the light source just like the real sun in our solar system... I dont know how to do that but I am also working on a game that I would like to make a sun for.
