Need feedback on physics idea?

GOAL: walk off the side of a platform and have gravity rotate so youre upright and walking on the side of the platform. Also capability to walk up the side of a wall and again have the gravity rotate to accommodate the upright player.

THEORY:

when you jump the ray doesnt hit so gravity doesnt change (so isjumping will be true but isgrounded will be false)

only when youre grounded will the rays change direction, eg. if you are walking up the side of a wall (isjumping will be false and isgrounded will be true)

when you walk off a platform you become ungrounded (which casts 5 rays one in each direction except up, if isjumping is false) then as you fall the ray collides with the side of the platform and the rotation works in reverse so if you walk off forward the back ray would collide with side of of the platform and rotate you forward and change direction of gravity to accommodate walking on that surface

would this be ideal or the best route to take? I thought id ask before making a start!

Thanks!
