Terrain Grass texture transparancy not working
Hey, I'm trying to get transparency to work with the GrassTexture details on the terrain but it looks like this:
I get weird black spots on the edges and the transparency doesn't seem to work at all.
The texture looks fine in the inspector and the "alpha is transparency" box is ticked, I have tested basically every solution I could find but nothing so far has worked. Am I just missing something obvious?
If anyone has any solutions to get the grass to be transparent that would be awesome! Thank you!
Replace black background color with green and it's solved.
Yay thanks that removed the black spots and it looks better, but the transparancy is still not working, does the grass texture for the terrain just not handle transparancy?
There two main types of transparency: alpha test / alpha clipping and alpha blending. Alpha test produces hard edges (your first screen), alpha blending looks more soft (your second screen) but have some drawbacks (poor/no sorting).
