Terrain masked blending
Heya,
I've been fiddling around with the terrain shaders lately and I wanted to add masked blending textures, where I found This Site to seem very head on after researching the web for information I can get on it. After messing up my texture badly, I somehow managed to get the alpha channel properly saved - I guess. But for some reason it still doesn't work.
This is the result - both circles are using the same texture, but when slotted as the 4th terrain texture it's drawing those circles. They come from the grass shining through/getting blended (not masked, just linear blend) at that point.

I don't know wheter the texture is set up wrong or the shader is not working properly.. been on it for a few hours now but I can't seem to figure it out. This is the texture I modified (original texture from ats terrain package): https://www.dropbox.com/s/mdhnzaotn1su0yz/rock_2048-RGBA.png

Ok, I've added another texture - called maskTex - to the shader to read the desired values from it's rgb space ins$$anonymous$$d of reading the alpha channel value from the original texture.
Same strange behaviour - So I tend to guess it's not even my texture that isn't working. Has anyone been able to achieve what is shown on the website?
