My comp. sci. class has become update hostages
Unity collaborate has stopped working randomly for my monestary (comp sci.). Essentially, unity hub goes incognito from the editor it opens, meaning the editor doesn't know that I'm signed in, meaning I can't use collaborate. This happened to me once, (figuring it was an easy fix) signed out of hub. 2.5 hours later, the sign-in option hadn't loaded. Explanation: the window opened, but did not show any options. So, I figured there was a problem in the files (as I ruled out network firewall by signing in through a browser) and (for some reason) removing unity hub's files (causing it to rebuild) didn't work. It rebuilt the files in unity, but all that did was take more space on my disk away. Finally, I decided to reinstall unity. It worked great... for 1 day. 2 days after the initial infection, the demon returned possessed my unity again. But this time, I noticed there was an option to update within the hub. So, I called my local tech-xorcist (Father Powell) and just did that. This exorcism has banished it from my computer, but it has moved on to those around it, claiming their souls one by one. But I think it might be more than one hell-spirit. In my one classmate's case, he restarted the computer and it worked fine. In my case, this simple first step yielded no effect on my unwelcome, unseen visitor. Now, I can keep it at bay by reminding it I am a child of the most high, "singed into unity" by looking at my currently signed in account in the hub. This daily prayer offers no aid to my fellow cyber-monks (we're totally misrepresented by Hollywood, BTW, so what else is new?). So I beseech aid from unity for our fight against Luc-error.
(This was meant to be funny so you'd respond, but it is an actual question. In English: we can't use collaborate unless we update the hub every day. I don't think daily updates are a good fix to our problem, is there a better one?)
