Getting Deterministic compilation failed After Reinstalling unity and open old project.
Error : Deterministic compilation failed. You can disable Deterministic builds in Player Settings Library\PackageCache\com.unity.multiplayer-hlapi@1.0.4\Editor\Tools\Weaver\AssemblyInfo.cs(22,28): error CS8357: The specified version string contains wildcards, which are not compatible with determinism. Either remove wildcards from the version string, or disable determinism for this compilation
Same problem here! Even when I uncheck that option in the player settings, I receive the same error message...

Go to Package Manager. Go to the small arrow right to to the + then select Packages: Unity Registry. In the list you should find Multiplayer HLAP and then click on the right side on Up to date. I hope that helps.
Helped for me, too! $$anonymous$$uch appreciated (although further errors had to be fixed afterwards - this is why I always hesitate to upgrade Unity ;-))
which errors did you get afterwards and how did you correct them?
I am getting "$$anonymous$$icrosoft (R) Visual C# Compiler version 3.5.0-dev-20359-01 (8da8ba0c) Copyright (C) $$anonymous$$icrosoft Corporation. All rights reserved." errors which include several metadata file errors
error CS0006: $$anonymous$$etadata file 'C:/Users/.../Library/PackageCache/nuget.mono-cecil@0.1.5-preview/$$anonymous$$ono.Cecil.$$anonymous$$db.dll' could not be found.
all of these errors are of the "PackageCache/nuget.mono-cecil@0.1.5-preview/$$anonymous$$ono.Cecil." variety.
Any and all help is truly appreciated.
Hey Dr GeoFry, well, I don't remember all of the issues I had after that bug was fixed. For most of them I found help on the internet. However, most annoying were errors that had to do with the tree models I used which I made with the integrated tree builder. Unity didn't seem to recognize them anymore. Turned out that I just had to click them in the prefab folder in order to get them back to life (weird, actually). I hope you will find a solution to your problems! $$anonymous$$ay I ask which Unity version you currently use that causes these issues?
Thank you $$anonymous$$iax
That fix the error, wich I got after after upgrade Unity and I don't even use multiplayer system

I updated that "Multiplayer HLAP" - but my error stayed , then I removed the component and the error was gone
