Connecting Unity to robot hardware
Hi All,
I'm playing with an app that I want to connect to a robot using ROS.
My first thought was to use rosbridge and roslibjs since I've used this in the past.
I don't know JS very well and am still new to Unity, so would it be possible to convert the example in the second link to work with Unity? If so, could someone provide me with some direction on how to do it?
I'm starting to go through the Network Documentation to see how else I might set this up, so if someone more knowledgeable has a suggestion I'd love to hear it!
Thanks!
Yeah, I got a setup working. Right now it's just Rviz and not connected to the real robot. ROS on my linux pc, unity on my windows pc. Communication using the mentioned packages. I've started a github repo but haven't made it public yet... Need to get back to that :). $$anonymous$$sg me and I'll help where I can. email is username at gmail... change dash to a dot.
Hey @mcevoy-andy Did you get anywhere with this idea? I'm curious- also looking for a unity to ROS bridge. Thanks.
