Top Down Isometric Camera

Hello everybody, im making a top down shooter, and i really want the camera to look similar to this: alt text

Iv'e tried many many things till now, making ortographic camera, but that doesnt work because i loose the sense of perspective. Also no luck with perspective camera rotated on Y axis... Someone has an idea on how to do this? Thanks in advance.

There's actually no perspective in that picture, it's a (simulated) orthographic camera. Isometric projection is a particular fixed orthographic view which would need the camera to have a euler angle Y of 45 (or 135, or 215, or 315) and an X of (I think) 45 as well - so that the X and Z axes of the world are 30 degrees from screen horizontal. Once you have some objects in there with different heights, the illusion of depth starts to play out.

I've made a special camera that can render a scene this way without distorting your sprites. So you can still build your game in a 3d scene without simulating or faking anything - and the camera will do the rest: Isometric Camera
