Edit a model into unity?

Can i edit a model in a scene?

when I click 'open'in a model, there is this written: check external application preferences

In terms of modelling, no. But you can adjust the materials applied to the model. If you want to edit your model at all, then find it within the Project window, and double click it.

It will then open in the appropriate model editor (maya, 3Ds max), and any change you do, will automatically apply within Unity.

Ok, and how i set a model editor in unity? I use Sketchup pro ..

I've never used sketchup pro, but I'm guessing you can't save the raw file within Unity, you have to export it as an OBJ or FBX, or something right? If thats the case, then you will have to make your edits within Sketchup pro, and re-export the model into Unity again.

Unity will automatically update the model with the changes you made.

Yes I esport models in .FBX.. but i don't understand how put a model editor into Unity! :(
