TBS - Suggestion (Beginner)
Hello guys!
I've been researching, building and rebuilding my game and still i think i do not have the best practice to develop my game. It been said, this question is to ask what is the best approach for starting my game.
The goal is a TBS game, orthogonal tile movement with some obstacles and bonuses for terrain type. Actually is a remake of Ninja Burai Densetsu.
I started wth tilemaps, but found extremely difficult to identify WHICH tile is behind de "movement target" (looks the official game printscreen)
Then, I tried tilemap for bg and prefabs for collision. And then, my path generator script just couldn't handle:
FINALLY, comes my QUESTION: Should I build the game structure/Grid with :
A) Each TILE Individual Prefabs;
B) Tilemap with grid and make de pathfinding through script;
C) Tilemap for graphics and an Empty with scripted grid.
Thanks in advance!
