Question by ElectronicMotion · Aug 09, 2012 at 04:40 AM · gridcustomisometricprogram

How do I create a customizable isometric grid system?

How do I create a customizable isometric grid system that allows players to use functions like draw a line, draw a polygon, add people to forms, adjust intervals, etc. all on top of a 2D image of a football field, with the ability to add pages and adjust the people in the forms and play the 2D animation.

Basically, I'm trying to build simple drill writing software like what can be found at: http://www.fieldartistcentral.com

Thanks in advance for your help.

SImple? Dude, they've been developing that software for FOURTEEN YEARS continuously.

If you got the three most broadly-experienced Unity ultra-experts on this list, and put them together as an emergency crack $$anonymous$$m, to do what you describe, they $$anonymous$$IGHT get it done in what 2 months? 4 months? that's 10 hour days 7 days a week.

If you're just looking for a place to start learning, what about "LineRenderer" Check it out and learn how to make some basic "user clicks on points to make a line". Then get Vectrosity and use that ins$$anonymous$$d for the drawing part of drawin the lines.

Regarding "customizable grid system" you just have to get really good at OO program$$anonymous$$g, I guess !
