Question about modifying tiles in game
I'm creating a block breaker game where I have blocks set up across my screen. When the player's ball hits one of the blocks I want it to change to a damaged sprite the first time and then destroy itself the 2nd time.
I'd like to have my blocks set up on a tilemap system because I think it would be easy to lay them out that way. How could I modify a specific tile so that tile changes states and what not? Is this possible? I'm still a newbie and I don't know what to do in this situation.
