Is Unity working on Windows 10?
Hi, has anyone here tested Unity on windows 10? I want to know if it is already working, because I want to upgrade.
Thanks for answeres!
I have a question about this. I got the free edition installer (5.3.4), and I am having some serious issues. If I try to run the editor setup executable, nothing happens. I have all of the files, but they are not working. They say that I need ad$$anonymous$$ privileges. I have Windows 10. Oh and another thing, I'm a standard user, and I am opening the files that need an ad$$anonymous$$ password with a batch file. Help anybody?

Unity doesn't support officially Win10 as of now, but Win10 is backwards compatible, so there shouldn't be any major problem with it (especially with programs that run on Win7+).
I'm currently not on Win10 and won't be switching at least to the end of the year, but other people have already tried and confirmed the expected result, you can find such threads on Forum (for example THIS).

It should work perfectly, because it support programs from win7+. If you are not sure, you can download the insider preview and virtualize it, and test if it works normally.

I use Unity3d 5, and am running on the most recent Windows 10 build. I have had 0 problems, 0 crashes, and 0 reason to return to a previous version of Windows!

I agree mostly but apps, especially chrome, are taking too long to load. Wireless drivers also seem sketchy.

We have someone on Windows 10 who cannot run our latest builds. The spinner spins and spins and spins and nothing. I have no idea how to debug it since I can't reproduce it. So desperate to figure out a way to get her up and running.
Just wanted to say that I've been seeing the same thing with a few random Windows 10 users, and I haven't been able to deduce the cause or replicate it myself. I'm trying to work with them to sort it out, but as of now, I haven't been able to sort anything out.
I'm creating the builds on Windows 10 and most of our Windows 10 users aren't experiencing any issues. As of now, I haven't been able to figure out what's unique in the cases where it doesn't work.
Builds with this issue were produced on both 5.1.1p3 and 5.2.2p4.
Have you built in both 64 and 32 bit? A 32 bit build fixed this particular user's problem even though her box is 64 bit. It could be she loaded the wrong OS as she is a fairly novice user. Just adding this in case it helps someone else.
Thanks for the advice, but it was actually a false positive. The fact that these users were on Win10 was coincidental. The actual problem was that their anti-virus software (Avast) was preventing the game from starting. They hadn't had the issue in previous builds for some reason, so when I initially asked them about antivirus software, most of them wrote it off as definitely not the issue until I asked a few more times.
