Question by Bentoon · Jun 12, 2015 at 05:22 AM · vuforiaaugmented-realityimage target

Vuforia AR Cam position

Hello I have used Vuforia Image Tracking successfully in the past with Unity for iOs

But now I am having problems with the AR Camera.

It is not showing the 3D Model I have placed on the tracker... This seems to be that @ Runtime the camera is placing itself at the origin of the model. No matter how I position the Tracker & Model or resize either.

I have a few trackers with different (stock Vuforia) images & different models. Sometimes one works, but never all three. I have even cloned the working one. No such luck...

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

You can see the camera is at the origin of the model when playing... So I have to back up 10 feet to even see a slice of anything

Figured it. Resetting didn't work but I just copied the original Camera Setting from the example scene (something like (200, 400, 100?)

and it worked

But thank you Tutterzoid - you were on the right track!

The Crazy thing is it works in Unity Remote, But NOT inside the app itself when shown the image nothing happens

I think you should do a search for "vuforia stones chips target images" and try the stones or chips target image, as I think you will have a problem with your target image with is being so dark in your screen shot. See how bright my target image is in my screen shot.

Have you tried to reset the ArCamera and then move the ArCamera up along the Y axis until you can see your models in the Scene view?

Tutterzoid, Yes I tried resetting AR Cam and repositioning it along the Y to no avail...

It always resets to the center of the target... When I add my on models int the Image Tracker

Weird..

?

Can you post a screen shot of the Hierarchy window so I can see what is happening there. Plus, do a search for "vuforia stones chips target images" and try the stones or chips target image, as I think you will have a problem with your target image with is being so dark. Or try moving your target image in-front of the ArCamera.
